The first ten years between the end of the eighties and the middle of the nineties saw the first important sponsors.
Mandarina Duck with 2 balloons, Grana Padano with a special form balloon, Profilmec, Yamaha, Caffè Nannini, RAI (for an event for the Pope), and Novogas which became Liquigas.
If I were to sum up the three different periods with three separate illustrations, the first photograph would be this one showing me with the airship I used for the world championship in Luxemburg 1988. I flew a great deal with that airship and taught many students from all over the world.
Towards the end of the nineties, new sponsors arrived.
Ferodo, the telephone company Blu with 2 balloons, Warsteiner, Liquigas with a second and then third balloon, and also the town of Mondovì with its own balloon. A new airship, the DP70 also became part of the fleet.
This second period can certainly be illustrated by photos of the Liquigas fleet with which we worked hard in all parts of Italy.
During this third period, Liquigas added two new balloons to the fleet, both green this time. Another balloon came from Iveco-Garelli, and another one advertising Mondovicino, the nearby shopping outlet.
There is also the third I-Aimo balloon and the new Concept 70 Duo Air Chair for the school for disabled sutdent pilots and pilots.
The flight school has kept me very busy throughout this third period, and the hot-air balloon I have used more than any other in recent years is the Iveco-Garelli balloon shown in this third photograph.
